Only 40 more days until Spring.
Alumaflamingo Region 5 Luncheon
For many years there has always been a Region 5 Dinner at the Florida State Rally in February. I just want to let you know that the tradition is continuing.
The event is now called Alumaflamingo 2014. But that does not mean we can’t get together. It will be on Thursday evening, February 20, 2014 at 5:00 PM at a place called Phillippi Creek Village Restaurant & Oyster Bar, located about 5 miles from the fairgrounds. We will be in a separate dining room and will order from the menu. You can “experience casual waterfront dining at the place to go for seafood”. They also have a more traditional menu.
The restaurant is located at 5353 S Tamiami Trail, Sarasota, FL 34231 (941) 925-4444. Tickets will not be sold or required. If you can make it, just show up. If you know you are coming, you can email me or call to let me know. We will also have a sign-up sheet at Alumaflamingo.
It would be nice if we had some kind of idea how many might be planning to attend. We hope you join Karen and I for a casual Region 5 dinner at the Phillippi Creek Village Restaurant. Lets keep the tradition going.

Region Five Community Service Project
OVER $1,200 OF CASH AND PERSONAL CARE ITEMS DONATED AT 2013 RALLY!!!!!!! Thanks for you generosity.
WBCCI has a long history of community service in towns where our rallies are held. This years Region V Rally in Carrollton, Kentucky – September 11-15, 2013 is no different.
We will be supporting the Women’s Crisis Center, a nonprofit social service agency committed to lead the community in the social change needed to end domestic violence, rape, sexual abuse and human trafficking. This organization has grown to serve 13 counties in northern Kentucky. They offer a wide variety of programs such as a 24 hour hotline, shelter program, children’s advocate program, and elder abuse program just to name a few. Additional information can be found on their website at http://www.wccky.org/. They would appreciate our support with monetary donations or any of the items listed under their Donations/Wish List. We’ll be learning more about the Women’s Crisis Center at the Region V Rally. This organization provides a great service to the surrounding communities and is certainly worthy of our support.
